Hi everyone, Been watching for a while, amazed by the number of good people out there prepared to help others. I have a £70K mortgage with Halifax (to finish 2017) Had to stop working 1 year ago (stress related depression) Wife PT only (2 young kids) Halifax took nil payment May - Oct 2004, then £300/month since. Thanks thaylock & jen_jen, I'll contact the halifax and see what they have to offer. Thankfully only other debts are £2K which I recently BT'd to the virgin 9 month 0% - found on MSE

Off for a week to see friends in sunny cumbria, thanks again for all replies, will post again when I've spoken to halifax.
