Morning All,
I opened a Co-Op Cashminder account when I started my IVA 3 years ago. I never got round to using it properly as the Halifax who I have a basic account with were ok with me and my IVA despite having Lloyds as my biggest creditor.
My question being do you think I will better closing said cashminder account now and carry on using my easy cash until I can afford to go BR then approach the co-op after i have been to court to re-open an account or should I get everything transferred into the cashminder now and start using it as I would.
I have read the sticky regarding bank accounts but I dont think most folk of got an account floating around as I have so cant quite decide the right way about going about things.
Its really rather strange that I am independant, intelligent (sort of) , well balanced sort of a person but comes to this issue and I am a gibbering wreck and cant think straight or even logically.
So I shall apologise now as I think this board is going to become my new best freiend/family as I have no one else to chat to about this situation and now i am rambling.
once again thanks again in advance

Halifax will definatley close the account as soon as they find out you are BR.
If I were you I would change over to the Cashminder and make it your main account. When you have a date for BR then let them know so they are aware of the situation.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Many Thanks, I really dont want to mess up as I Barclaycard are another creditor so wont have the option of using Barclays.
I shall get everything changed over asap and get using it. Its a better card than my cashcard so may even be able to buy petrol at Asda now!!BSC no.370 AD March 14
