Monday 25th June - What small DFW things will you do today?!?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

    Hi everyone :hello:

I'm trying not to get stressed out with what I know will be a stressy week at work… Thinking about the positives - 'tis payday; I got paid extra this month because they calculated my benefits wrong last month; I'm getting a bonus next month (and maybe overtime this weekend). :)

Thanks for starting us off Sunshine and thank you so much for voting for little Bok :) Thanks also DNMS (and for the dog walking offer ;) ) and to the Zigster :) Yay! I really wonder if we could win - would be amazing.

If anyone else would like to vote for my lil puppy, please please please vote 'like' on this pic here:
    http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...type=1&theater

If he gets the most votes he wins a new dog bed - Money saving in action!

    V appreciated :)

    Here's my small things:
    :) Walking to/from work
    :) Leftovers for lunch
    :) Free tea in work
:) Got two free elastic bands with my asparagus :p
:) Got MOC for a box of tea bags
:) Planted herbs in our windowbox - think herbs are esential for making cheaper ingredients tasty tasty
:) Made my own brannock bread - rustic flat bread recipe using just flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and water - ok, a bit doughy, but the fresh thyme I added helped ;) Going to experiment with mixing in cheeses, other herbs, onions - I'm thinking posh focaccia-style…
:) Remembered I had US$47 lying around - might see about getting that changed.

Morning all, another cloudy day here but I'm sure summer will start soon!

La escocesa, have liked. That is one cute pup! I used to have a chocolate lab, he was gorgeous and very stubborn!

This is what I've been up to:

:) applied for a Halifax reward account to play money go round with.
:) picked up dad's jacket, keys and phone that he'd left at the hospital last week. Only 15 mins free parking so had to run to ward and back, up 4 flights of stairs!!
:) washing done, will hang out and keep fingers crossed.
:) tooth infection finally gone so no more expensive trips to the dentist.
:) went out sat night, drank tonic water a lot of the night so came home with cash which I have left in going out bag as a nice surprise for the next time!
:) did a quick shop for necessities but only bought what was on list. Walked to stop me getting tempted by the offers.

Hope everyone has a good week.:D

Well I need to do something dfw today!

So far have been on swagbucks all morning, just had lunch (soup I made at home yesterday)

Been to MrA's to get potatoes and some veg. Even though I swore on Friday we were having another No Supermarkets for a Week. Can't cook dinners without some veg though...

I was given £100 on Friday which I was going to pay to the CC. Ended up buying a new carpet for our hall and stairs (really needing replaced after our puppy started peeing on the top landing :o) We bought paint and gloss as well, will be great to get the hall finished but I do feel guilty that I didn't spend it on debt repayment....

Can't think of anything smart to put here...
