Vanquis card

Good morning

I was made BR in May 2011 and early discharged January.

On Saturday I received a second letter from vanquis saying I have even selected to apply or one of their credit cards. Obviously I don't want to apply if I am going to get turned down and wondered whether it was worth trying now or waiting?

My credit file has been cleaned up apart from my mortgage as the house only got repo'd last month and they have just shown my defaulting on that.

I applyed for my card about 1 year after br, still havent managed to get my credit file cleaned up. It seams some companies are more helpful than others.

I was accepted for vanquis, and have paid the whole balance every month, now have the normal interest rate although dont get any. Its been made into a gold card too with a stupid credit limit - good job ive learnt my lesson!!
