Went into my local Homebase yesterday (16/3) and they are giving away 5 litre bags of West+ Advanced Compost. I'm no gardener but I picked up a bag for my neighbour who then went to get a bag for himself!
There was no fanfare in Homebase, just a stall packed with bags of compost with the words, 'please take a free bag' I walked round the stand several times looking for 'the catch' but no, there was none.
Happy Composting!

I get free compost every year - I have a compost bin lol (okay so the bin was £10 but it's still a great investment) It means we throw less waste away too as you can compost kitchen waste (except meat)I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

I am going back to H/Base next weekend and will ask if this is a national, selected, or local promotion. But, if anyone lives in or near Dartford, Kent pop in and help yourselves.

This offer isn't just at Homebase think its a general thing I think. Just had a magazine come through the post for Frosts garden centre and t has a cut out voucher for a 5L Westland Compost sample.
fill in your addy and hand it over at the till. Think its should be good for most places well certainly Homebase and Frosts.

Obviously word has not got around as the Westland stall compost is still half full and freebie available at Dartford H/base. Staff said it is a regional/branch Manager decision whether to promote or not so maybe you should ask your local branch to run the promotion.
Cheers
