Have they given a reason? Could you try your bank and see if they can offer you a loan at a sensible rate? I had a personal loan for £4500 with cahoot @ 14.9%, I'd originally asked my bank if they could help but they couldn't offer me a loan, then suddenly out of the blue they offered me one at 6.4% a few months later so I got rid of Cahoot!

Its worth a try, especially if you've been with your bank for a while & your salary gets paid into one of your accounts with them.
