Can brand/material of roasting tin affect how much meat spits?

Aaagghh!
For years I used a Good Housekeeping non-stick roasting tin. Cooked roasts with no problem.
It finally died - non-stick surface ruined and starting to rust. Replaced it with a non-stick tin made by Pyrex. Ever since, my meat is spitting horrendously and making a complete mess of my oven every time!
Same meat, same temperatures (e.g. got a chicken in on 200 degrees at the moment). The only thing that has changed is the tin.
Can different types of tin affect how much the meat spits? I used to brush chickens with oil but I thought that might be the problem and so tonight's chicken went in completely naked. Fat is coming out of the bird, as usual, and it's sitting on the tin and spitting like crazy.
I can't clean my oven every single time I do a roast dinner.

Non stick is evil in my opinion. It can give off gases that are fatal to birds (and possibly other small animals).Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Yes, really. I cba to find links due to new flat and borrowing someone else's wireless (through BT Homehub thing, legal but really unreliable). But basically if the nonstick coating gets burnt it will give off toxic gases, and even if your bird is in another room it might not be safe. And as the nonstick coating gets older/more used it's more likely to burn so you don't have to do anything dodgy like forget a pan for it to happen.
I don't know if it affects other animals as I only keep birds and only have researched it for them, but if they have similarly small lungs I don't see why it wouldn't happen.
But there are a lot of stories of birds dying from it, so it's something to be careful of.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
