i'm disappointed not to be opening my sealed pot tomorrow - ended up opening it in the summer and spending the proceeds on paying of my overdraft and funding holiday spends. will be starting afresh this weekend however - just need to find a pot !
  • i like the save'o'meter.

I like the CD too (don't think i saw a DVD one) but not got it on the grounds someone will torrent it soon :-)

I REALLY am battling not to buy the jesus christ superstar DVD for the same reason.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

thing is - I buy these things, listen to them once (if that ..) and there they then sit gathering dust. I've lost track of the number of dvds (still sealed!!!!) that i've bought to watch on a lazy sunday afternoon ... except I never do.

are you doing the sealed pot next year? I found a cardboard box and wrapped it but it didn't go right so the cardboard box is in the recycling, the wrapping paper is in the bin and I'm having a rethink - don't really want to spend money to buy a pot and feel it wrong to use the money pot I bought for my mum for xmas.... I don't like the design of these and although I think my mum will make all the right noises when she opens it, she will probably think why the hell has she bought me another pot that I won't use :rotfl:

I think I might have a teramundi pot somewhere so will have a nose. I don't really want to buy another one.
  • i do the £365 in 365 but also have a 'change' tub (although they have merged and it's had nothing put in at all this month apart from shrapnal)

Poundland do the tins so I've started buying them. they hold loads!!! (if you don't like the design can always wrap it in something else.)

have sorted my sealed pots ! a cat food box with a ready made money slot !!!! and a money box that I have altered slightly with a pic of my own.

To open this one involves sticking a pair of scissors in the back and twisting (a bit of a faff) so little temptation to raid (I hope!)

I have decided that until I am firmly back in the black and the credit card is paid off, I won't save any sealed or virtual pot money.

Its been quite a depressing week. I've been on hols and have had lots of social stuff on but no money. I haven't gone crazy with what I've bought but have ended up getting more xmas gifts.

It looked like my phone was on the blink earlier in the week but I think I've solved the problem so no running to @rgos to buy a new phone at £84.99 plus £10.00 (half price) memory card plus a few quid extra to get the bill over £100 and qualify for £10 free voucher for me. likewise, I won't be taking advantage of the £100 kindle fire deal at @rgos either.

its tempting to ask for money for xmas to pay off my debt but Ill see what happens. I'm kind of accounting for every penny now so hopefully things will work themselves right eventually if I stop the mindless spending I have become used to.
