TomTom and PDA's

Just been looking at the tomtom satnav kits that will be out soon with bluetooth hands free calling etc.

Looks simple enough to install etc. But was just wondering if it is easy to do with a PDA or pocket PC and if the cost would be greatly different.

I have none of these products at the moment so is it best to go the dedicated satnav route or maybe have a PDA that can do more.

Thanks

I have a loox 720 which has a vga screen and I am waiting for Tom Tom 5 to be released in May (current versions do not support vga screens). I would say for the price you would be better off getting a pda and tom tom.

My PDA and TomTom are the best things I've bought in last few years. Amazing difference to those who need to travel around a lot. Driving becomes SO relaxing :-)

The dedicated car system is about £500. How much would a decnet PDA plus tomtom software cost?

also the new tomtom includes a bluetooth handsfree car kit, can this be done with a PDA?

Apologies if these seem simple questions but I am totally new to this.

    Thanks
