BR and starting employment - confused!

Hi all, I hope you can help...
I declared myself BR in April after a failing business and lots of old debts got on top of me.
I have since relocated to live with my OH and have been battling with the benefits system to try and get some money to help pay rent, bills etc whilst jobhunting.
I've now finally got a job (hurrah!) but am quite confused about what happened with regards to paying the OR money...

does it come straight from my bank account?
will my employers know? (this would be a Very Bad Thing as the job involves some cash handling and responsibility which people seem to think BR's can't deal with!!)
My OH hasn't found work yet, but is hopefully going back to uni to do his MA in October - is he a dependant?
How much will they take? (new salary is only 14.5k and i think ill qualify for WTC of about £89/wk)
How long do the payments last? I was told it was until I was discharged, but have now read things that say it's 3 years?
When do i let the OR know? (I only just got offered the job - no contract etc have been signed)

Sorry for all the questions, hope you can help!

Thank you
:)

Congratulations on the job. Let the OR know when you start work and ask for a new SoA to be done. Why do you think you will get an IPA when you will only earn £14.5k plus TC's and have to support 2 people on that?

If you do a SoA someone will check it out for you. Will your OH get any grants when he goes to Uni?

Yes an IPA will last 36 payments from when it is set up. But this can go up, own or be suspended as and when your circumstances change.

    Thanks for the congrats :)

I put in the projected income and TC into the IPA calculator thats linked on here and it said we had a little excess, but I don't know if I can include the insurance etc on OH's car? (It'll be how I'm travelling to work, as its over an hour on the bus vs 15 drive!)

We're looking at grants at the moment, and hoping that he will, but not sure what the plan is if he doesn't!

Including costs of OH's car. our SoA is this (I think - we've only lived here 6 weeks, so not 100% on the bills):
