This morning avast updated itself and since then i've been having problems.
It will not let me view the John Jewis website at all - it was fine last night and also it blocks the Debenhams site but only when i need to checkout.
It is most likely that the update is the problem as when i've looked around on google i have found some reference to bad updates but i am not sure about this.
Is it possible to remove the update? Is this wise if it is possible?
Opinions please?

There's content from this domain on John Lewis at least, which might explain the Avast block.

It looks as though it has been reported to Avast, so I would wait for it to be resolved.

Thanks very much for this, i will wait and see what happens when avast updates over the next few days.
I scanned the pc with both avast and malware bytes just in to put my mind at rest and neither found anything wrong.

I can't get onto Thomas Cook's website either, Avast is blocking that too0

There does seem to be a problem with Thomas Cook.
Securi detects known Javascript malware.

MSE keeps detecting Trojan:JS/Redirector0 -
Still can't get onto Thomas Cook. Avast is still blocking the site.:(
Is anyone else's anti-virus blocking the site also?0 -
Im also not able to get into Thomas Cook either since yesterday:mad:0

Just browsed Thomas Cook website with Avast turned off and encountered no problems. Scanned with MBAM- no detections.
Probably a false positive but would not suggest you do above unless access is urgent.0 -

When do we know if it's ok to browse? I've just had Avast run a scan and found 4 trojans. the same ones as detected by Avast on TC. Then Avast ran a scan in safe mode and found 59 threats!0 -
I went on TC to see if Avast blocked it and it did, i scanned with Avast and Mbam afterwards just to double check and both found nothing.
