50 for 50th Birthday - Union Jack Theme!

I'm planning to make a hamper of things for my OH for his 50th Birthday in April. I'm starting early to spread the cost and pick up sale bargains as I see them in true MSE style!
The theme is Red/White/Blue and Union Jack. Not all things in it will be this theme, but I have found a union jack storage box and will wrap in red white and blue paper. I'm taking advantage of jubeliee items currently in the sales!
I am up to 33 things - I'd be really greatful if anybody has any more ideas, I'm stuck! I've listed what I've thought of so far, those in red are what i've bought. Thank you all so much in advance!
Union Jack Storage box (£5.99 Hobbycraft)
1. Phone cover (ebay)
2. Pants (next sale)
3. Socks (next/m&s sale)
4. Sports trivia cards (sainsbury’s sale £1.50)
5. Sample aftershave (freebie)
6. Sample moisturiser (freebie)
7. Alcohopop bottle (his guilty pleasure is girly drinks!)
8. Fruit pastilles
9. Chocolates
10. Toothbrush
11. Toothpaste
12. Flannel
13. Union Jack key ring (ebay)
14. Union Jack playing cards (99p ebay)
15. Lottery Ticket
16. Lottery Scratch Card
17. Union Jack/RFC Mug
18. Union Jack car airfreshner
19. Lip balm
20. Tweezers
21. Soap on a rope
22. Hand sanitizer gel
23. Chewing Gum
24. Bottle Opener
25. Beer holder/cosy
26. Hand Lotion
27. CD
28. DVD
29. Massage Oil
30. Jokey edible undies
31. Book
32. Nail File
33. Picture of us on holiday in a frame

I've been buying stuff like this too for my dads Best of British xmas hamper!
Not sure what your budget is....so...
Perhaps buy seeds instead of plants; you can get nice mixes or red/white/ blue flowers or get different coloured veg seeds (blueberries/ strawberries both red and white varieties perhaps?)
Whats' the red/white and blue stripe toothpaste? (aqaufresh?)
Store 21 have Union Jack photo frames and a little chest of drawers (about 8" high) in their sale at the moment; also a 'nodding dog' for the car (that was on a BOGOF) with some other Brit stuff
Miniature/ toy cars - a red bus or a black hackney cab for example
A collection of British coins - 1p/ 2p/5p etc? or an old sixpence (really cheap on ebay)
A stick of 'Blackpool' rock?
Plenty of places have Union Jack cushion covers or if you're crafty/ can knit (unlike me!!) you could make one?
The Works have a little porcelain bear in a UJ wishbag for £1.99, a pack of UJ tissues 99p, photo clip 99p (London bus or post box), UJ fridge magnet £1.99 and UJ party poppers 99p
I've also seen things like an Apron for BBQ, wallet, pint glass with UJ designs on- amazon would probably stock them but bet £1 shops would have stuff like this once the Jubilee celebrations are on the way out!
Asda have a pack of 6 socks for £6 and 'Best of British' dvds for £3 each
Play.com have some nice bits too - I got a Union Jack mug (£3.99) then bought a pretty three tin set of English teas from Amazon (£6) - which includes a post box, London bus and red telephone box.
Hope this helps!

Thought of a few more ideas.....(sorry, I tend to get over enthusiastic!!)
Traditional games, stuff he might remember having as a child!
A Pea Shooter, Jacks (or 5 stones), Marbles, Old Maid playing cards, Quoits, Beetle etc These can usually be got on Ebay quite cheaply
Sweets - these could be traditional or by colour, flavour etc - B&M have really cute glass jars in at the moment 59p each - would be ideal to fill with sweets!
Red, white and blue beanbags so he can learn to juggle:rotfl:
A car bumper sticker
A voucher for a fish and chip supper? Or traditional stuff like jams, chutneys - then you could add your own label
Traditional British beer...'Old Peculiar' or something like that
Diary/ pen/ notepaper - The Works has got loads of 'Keep Calm and....' in at the momentStopped smoking 20th October 2012

Pick and mix woollies style
What about some red, white and blue boiled sweets or I've seen those coloured bonbons
Cadbury choc is very British compaired to American choc, I think they have Olympic themed stuff
Bunting?Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card
Rehome an unwanted prize or gift with a seriously ill child through Postpals.co.uk0 -
What wonderful ideas - never fails to amaze me:)The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do

Asda are selling a bag of red, white and blue M&M's (peanut chocolates) at the moment. I think it was £2 for a big share bag, but Wilko's had the smaller individual packet.
Haha just thought of something not on your list.....UJ Flag, you could get a full size one, or a couple of the car flags. I've also seen UJ car mirror covers if you want to go the whole hog.I :heartpuls M.S.E.

Thank you all so much for some brilliant iteas! In B&M yesterday I got Special edition toothpaste and teabags with Union Jacks on, I also saw biscuits and sweeties but I think they are for the Olypics too, so weren't reduced (I'll keep an eye on them!) I also saw the peanut M&Ms someone mentioned, but unfortunatley the date on them isn't long enough! Again I'll keep looking to see if they have any more batches!0
