Partner bankrupt - will this affect me when he moves in?

Hi. New here :-)
My boyfriend went bankrupt in January. He's moving into my address next week. All the mortgage bills etc will stay in my name. We have talked of a joint account. Can someone please tell us:
1. Can we get one without it affecting my (really good) credit rating?
2. When he moves in, will that in itself affect my credit rating in any
way?
3. If I apply for future credit, in my own name, will him being
registered here inhibit this?
It's not going to stop us moving in, we just want to be prepared for any surprises. Thanks for your help :-)

way? No, not by moving in
3. If I apply for future credit, in my own name, will him being
registered here inhibit this? No, only if you are financially linked

Hi and welcome
Whilst your boyfriend is bankrupt and remains on his credit file for 6 years if you become financially linked the that will have an affect on your files I'm afraid.
Edit- also you may need to check your home/content insurance policy as they may want to know if anybody in the house is bankrupt.BSC Member 3510 -
Thanks. It's a minefield so I appreciate the advice
