Saving fees and selling car

Hello all,
We are due to move into rental @ end of July.. have missed mortgage etc to pay for dep etc etc.
We have 2 x cars (both going BR) and thinking of selling mine. The sale of my car will pay towards the BR fee - also need to get my son a bed as he is going from a cot to a bed.
I have created a sheet, which shows what I have spent the missed mortgage payments on - rent and referencing fees etc. If we sell car, will do this privatley to get best price, will a hand written receipt do?? Will OR want breakdown of how I saved to rent etc or am I being OCD!??
