Hi, I had put this on HotDeals but thought it was worth repeating here for anyone in the market for a pram.

I'm pregnant expecting our first child and prams/pushchairs/buggies/travel systems were mind bogglingly confusing to me. I put off doing all the research until recently and was horrified to see how much it can all cost.

Today in the sale I came across the John Lewis Travel System which comes with a car seat so for us, that is all bases covered. All for £200! Car seats alone can cost over a 100 quid.

Went into Westfield Stratford after work to see it in person and it really is a nifty light pushchair which rivals the other big names. Collapses down easily and is both parent and rear facing. The storage basket is huge which unusually has its own cover so all your bits stay clean and dry and all in all an excellent piece of kit.

My husband and I liked it in Sand but it also came in black http://www.johnlewis.com/231347876/Product.aspx. It also has a carry cot as an optional extra down to £50 from £100 http://www.johnlewis.com/231347879/Product.aspx

It has mixed reviews but even the negative reviews seem to state that as it is less than a year old they are mostly teething problems and John Lewis are very good with their 2 year warranty which comes as standard. I've done some general googling and parenting forums seem to review it favourably so we've put in an order. It looks swish, on par which those that cost £600+, it has a car seat which we would have needed to buy separately that slots into the main chassis so baby doesn't have to be woken up when you get to your destination. It is both parent and rear facing, parent facing was very important to us and that feature alone normally means the price shoots up. It also comes with a raincover and footmuff as standard which you have to buy as optional extras with some other brands and it is all for £200. What's not to like?

Apologies for the huge description but hope this helps someone in a similar situation to mine.

When you state it includes car seat, do you mean "infant carrier?" as I see no mention of a car seat.

  • Its a Travel system , so you do get the seat

We were budgeting for around £500-£600 for our travel system. However after seeing this we went to have a look and have purchased the black version.

The staff were really helpful and as the OP said it comes with a 2 year warranty as standard so any problems can be dealt with.

We bought the carry cot as well so for £250 I would say it's a massive bargain and thank you again!
  • looks lovely! Wish I was having another one! The sand coloured one is lovely.
