What's left before exchange

I feel like we're close, but dunno whether I'm just being optimistic!
So far we've had a HB survey done, a mortgage valuation done and the mortgage offer through, the Environment Search and Drainage Search have come back. Tomorrow we're posting back to our solicitors the Contract, Transfer, Mortgage Deed and form and Land Transaction Return. We've also received the Property Information Form and Fittings & Contents Form...
I know we're waiting for the Local Search to come back, and for the vendor's solicitor to respond to a few queries - what else is left to do before exchange can take place?

Once all the paperwork is in place, your solicitor will ask you what preferred completion date(s) you want him to put forward to the vendor.
On agreement of a completion date by all parties, exchange can take place.I am a mortgage broker. Awesome! I don't think (?) there's much paperwork outstanding, apart from the Local Search and queries, and the solicitor's hopeful they'll be sorted some time next week
