Rescue dog with a problem

Please can anyone advise a home remedy on how I can get urine stains and any odour off my carpet without having the whole carpet cleaned. As Ben is a new addition, I don't want him thinking this is his spot.

It's best to use something like non-bio washing powder. Most domestic cleaners have amonia in them - even trace amounts. Animals associate this with the smell of urine and think another animal has been in their house so they'll go back and wee in the same place again. Using something like the non-bio means you can clean up without attracting your doggie back to piddle in the same place. HTH

Hope you get on ok with your new hound- well done for rescuing him:D
