I wish I'd ordered some when it was still Levi/Keith making it in his ktichen - I can't imagine it's as nice now it's been made in bulk for Sainsburys

Heard about this on Radio 4 the other day; Keith was interviewed about his experience on Dragons' Den, his recipe and it's success. He said that it is still the same stuff that he has been making for years, ad he only went on to get publicity and maybe cash for marketing.

HI - I used it as a dip last night, I made myself some real chicken nuggets and dipped them in the sauce - not very creative but it was lovely.

Hi everyone - just got a couple of bottles of this new sauce - it is really good - but other than using it as a dip, I have no idea what to do with it - has any one used it before? I have some chicken breasts, I presume I marinade them in it but do I grill them / bake them / put on the George Foreman grill? What goes nice with it?

    TIA, Stella xx

  • Just received this email from Levi Roots....

    Dear Customer

Reggae Reggae Sauce goes from strength to strength, and has grown faster
than I could ever have imagined. With any fast growing business,
keeping up with demand is no mean feat - and problems can occur.

I want to let you know that I am working flat out to sort out problems
with my online orders. I am so sorry for the delay in repayment to you,
and all of the inconvenience this has caused you.

I have been trying to action a mass repayment from PayPal, but as I was
inundated with orders, PayPal has placed severe restrictions on my
account, because of the unexpected influx of money. It is proving
exceptionally difficult to have these restrictions removed and refund
all of my customers who registered to buy the sauce. I can assure you I
have been in hours of talks with PayPal to have the problem resolved.
Please bear with me while I try to action this as soon as possible.

I am so frustrated by this, as I really want to start a good business
and you all need to see your money back.

    Kind regards

    Levi Roots

    BUT I DON'T WANT A REFUND - I want my sauce....

I was happy to pay the £4.50, even after it came out in Sainsbury's at £1.49, at least my money was going to the right person...not lining Mr Sainsbury's pockets...

Can I just ask for the sauce, don't care how long it takes...

yesterday there was a message on his site saying he was contacting everyone who had bought it and paid but not received to see if they wanted a refund so they could but it in sainsbury's instead at a cheaper rice. He said he was giving people 7 days to contact him to say they still wanted their order otherwise he would be refunding everyone.

I bought some last week and marinated pork chops in it and then baked the whole lot in the oven. It was good - but think next time I'll marinate then cook without the sauce as it was too hot for a weakling like me!

    My father's Daughter

Did you not get a previous email from him? I got one about 2 weeks ago saying he would process a refund unless he heard otherwise from me. Haven't had the money yet mind but am keeping an eye out for it!
