Best aftersun?

I've tried:
Ambre Solaire
Very refreshing, but feels watery and not very moisturising.
Piz Buin
Lovely and light, smells good, but it seems to coat the skin rather than deep moisturising.
Palmer's cocoa butter
Fantastic stuff that seemed to be sucked into my skin but I can't stand the chocolatey smell.
Vaseline essential moisture
Lovely deep moisturising but not an aftersun so no idea if it's going to help prolong a tan.
I'd love to know if you've found a product that you love or what works best for you?

Are you after something to soothe sunburn or just something to moisturise the skin?
I got a bit sunburnt last year, and didn't have any after-sun in the house, so I just used Boots baby sensitive moisturising cream. It does the job ok. Not really a 'luxury' after-sun product but it soothes and moisturises the skin quite well.0 -
Hi j.e.j.,
Thanks for your reply. I do my best not to burn (although I don't always manage it
) what I'm really looking for is a decent moisturiser that will help to keep my tan for a bit longer. I'm not looking for luxury, just something that works.

Hmm well I like the soltan one with added insect repellant (blue bottle) but probably more so for its insect repellant properties than after sun. It does soak in very nicely though and you don't end up feeling sticky. It always seems to be on offer for half price so might be worth a go to see what you think!0

I love the jergens naturals moisturisers, especially the one with acai berry or the ultra hydrating stuff. It sinks in REALLY quickly and smells lovely, and leaves my dry skin soft for the whole day. Its not an aftersun, but I don't tend to use specific aftersuns0

Johnsons baby oil after a shower every time for me - stops my skin drying out and no peeling;)

If you're burnt, I would try this one - http://www.lipglossiping.com/2012/06/heal-gel-the-closest-ive-come-to-miracle-in-a-jar-beauty/ Not that I ever need one as I avoid the sun like the plague now. I remember burning in the US one year and buying a Banana Boat one that had lidocaine in it - that was magic stuff, took the sting away so well but I don't know if that's available in any of our products.
It seems more like you want to prolong a tan so I'll pick up on another one - E45 Silky Radiance which is a great moisturiser that soaks in brilliantly yet leaves a sheen that I would imagine compliments a tan like a dream :-)11th Heaven prizes Number 103

I just take a big bottle of cheap own brand moisture stuff which is usually quite runny, so soaks in easily.
I hate to admit that mr T (grr) do a very nice aloe vera/cocoa butter which is brilliant for rubbing all over.

I buy my aftersun in spain!
I used to suffer really badly with heatrash and this was the only product that worked, you can buy it in Cortes Ingles and pharmacies throughout mainland spain and canaries.
Its called ISDIN. :j0 -
Lush's Dream Cream that's been kept in the fridge is lovely when you've caught the sun
