My partner was intimidated by him, as he was around 6 foot four, so she said I wasnt in, then he asked if Id moved out, and she said yes.
Obv I havent moved out, but he didnt give any indication of who he was.
I am currently declared bankrupt and have been for over a month now, is there anything I can do to stop these cowboys coming to the door?
Oh yeah, and yesterday, I got a card from resolvecall, in a brown envelope, with my name handwritten on it, at 8am. No one even rang the doorbell, I was near the door at the time, and the person hurried off quickly after posting it.

---> Letter to creditors making demands for payment after bankruptcy
Perhaps replacing references to telephone calls with doorstep collections?
Maybe sending to them via post? Or maybe just keep a copy to hand to the next ejit who calls?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

not to worry, if it is in the daytime and they call, ask who they are and ring the OR on the spot and offer for the creditor to speak to them, i guarantee they will not come backHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

They have no powers, don't have to let them in, and if they don't leave give the police a bell. It shouldn't come to that but they trade on people now knowing what they can and can't do. Its a bit like TV licensing saying they have an implied right of access. It means they are free to knock on the door, just as I can knock on any door in my street, and the person on the other side is free to choose not to answer it.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0
