Firstly, I opened a letter from Natwest - I am being refunded undue Unarranged Overdraft fees, to the tune of approx £100.

Secondly, Barclaycard ring up and finally sort out my complaint, £50 credited to my account due to the poor service I received. Very Pleased.

Thought I'd push my luck a bit and chase up Capital One on the progress of my application and I've been accepted with a £500 limit, although that's subject to change before the decision is final, but the paperwork should arrive in the post by Saturday, although I will be on holiday by then, but oh well.

Good day for me and my finances!

the more cynical may say 2 out 3 aint bad - and the Capital One may not be such a blessing.

Pity good luck only comes in 3's or would be checking what your lotto numbers are..

Well I wanted it to build my credit a bit further so I can get onto 1 decent credit card by the New Year, rather than 2 sub prime cards.

Well if that's the case I'd cancel the capital one application.

Maintaining two accounts over a long period of time will look much more appealing than having a third that's open recently - it will do more harm than good to your credit rating.

Having more cards isn't the key to building credit - having a small number of accounts maintained well over a long period is - as this demonstrates responsibility, stability, and an ability to maintain the status quo which is exactly what prime creditors are looking for :o

Capital One would be the second account.

I don't have any other active accounts as nobody will give me an Overdraft.

Two cards for 6 months then close one, wait another couple of months and apply for one with Natwest (my bank) and should all be good!

Angelbob I applied 3 or 4 days ago - I was just pushing my luck a bit by ringing up today to see where it had got
