I am so stuck for ideas!!! Please help! :o

He doesn't wear a watch or aftershave, and doesn't really have any 'hobbies', he likes music and films and travelling.

Thanks in advance xx

My OH wouldn't appreciate the cliche gifts such as cufflinks, or novelty socks for "cold feet", so I wans't going to bother getting him a pressie.
But I had noticed that he was having trouble wearing in his new smart shoes, so I decided to get gim a cheap pair of black plimsoles, and left a note with them along the lines of "something comfy for the dancefloor".
He was delighted with them, and on cue he slipped into them just before the first dance!

OH didn't get me anything on the day either, but coincidentally he had bought me my wedding shoes a few months earlier.

My OH is the same - doesn't wear a watch, didn't really need anything else 'special', so I put together a gift box with:

    • posh pants (Calvin Klein)
    • posh socks (cashmere)
    • posh chocolate
    • engraved solid silver cufflinks
    • the lyrics of our first dance designed/styled in our wedding fonts
this t-shirt (thanks to another MSE poster)

... along with a love letter.

I gave it to his mum to give to him to open on the morning of the wedding and he loved it. He even kept the little labels I put on each gift, bless him.

    Hiya,

I'm having trouble with this too. My OH does not wear a watch but i've been trying to quiz him as to if he would! I've come to the conclusion that if I got him one as a wedding present & it was engraved on the back then I think he would. I'm just thinking of one he can wear every day. If you got your OH one would he wear it, or is it a no no?

Thanks for the ideas so far, mucho appreciated!!!!

He wouldn't wear a watch at all, fawny. He's not going to wear a ring either (we've got him one just for the day).

RainbowDrops - that is SO cute! I must keep an eye on his shoes (he hasn't started wearing them in yet, but they are really comfy leather Collezione shoes from M&S - they cost more than mine lol!).

Ooooh, MsShopper - he does love posh chocs! I might take a wee trip to Hotel Chocolat :D Can't get him too much though, he has to be able to eat it by the time we go on honeymoon 2 days later - he could take it on the plane with him but it will melt once we get to Asia! :rotfl: But that would be lovely. Thank you.

I'm also doing a 'promise book' and have got him a lovely card which I shall write closer to the time. Ideally I'd like to do a little box of stuff.

I got us a pair of matching smart pens which I had engraved with our initials, which we used to sign the register.

I've got OH one of those too.

Love the plimsoles idea rainbowdrops, OH wears grey and white ones all the time so I think if he buys new shoes for the wedding I'll invest in a pair.

I might bring my OH's battered old canvas gutties as a surprise and bring them out if his feet get sore!!! LOL.

(gutties = trainers for those who don't know)

I got OH a pair of trainers customized with work from his favourite artist and our wedding date on them. Collecting them tomorrow and I'm going to give him them in the car when we go for a wee drive after the ceremony. It's our 4th anniversary of getting together but I don't think I'll be getting anything! (although I did tell him I want a card at least hehe)
I also got him (and all the other men) socks with their role stitched onto them from ebay.
