3 years on and....

So, it's been nearly 3 years since I joined and although I haven't posted for ages, I have always been here, reading and learning!

I have just read through my ealing posts and it really reminded me how down and depressed I was and how I truey thought that there was no light at the end of the tunnel. How things have changed now! Is am married, we still have debt, but we are living through it and paying it off and we are doing it our own way, I am more frugal and most importantly we have our wonderful son, joe who is 11 months old.

My son has in fact helped me to focus on our future, I have started putting a little away every month for him, for his future as I want him to have an amazing start, and I will most certainly be educating him on his finances from a young age.

So, much else has changed, my husband was made redundant at the end of last year, but worked his socks off, got a payout and found another job within two weeks, which is actually better paid and he loves. I have dropped to 3 days a week in my main job, but also have taken 2 shifts per week in a local rather nice restaurant, which only pays minimum wage, but can make some amazing tips - I made 85 quid in tips on one Saturday night,

So the reason for my post is to update you lovely lot with a new SOA and also to tell anyone who is currently at the start of the journey that it does get easier and the bad times do pass.

In our almost 3 year we have reduced our debt by about 4k, but also managed to focus and stop worrying about the future so much

Thanks for reading my epic post!
