Confused Please HELP.....

have just found that i have 2 pensions, 1 is growing due to a company takeover and the other is just sitting there and got left behind!!!!

I've called both of them and i have been told that i can not touch or move them until i'm 55 (thats in 30 years!!!)

Is this true and is there anywhy in which i can cash them in early?? They are both stakeholder pensions.

please help as this money would help me out of a sticky situation.

Thanks for reading

What they've told you is correct. You can't cash in pensions - except for 25% of the money when you are 55. (50 at the moment).
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
  • Ah well i'll just have to keep plodding along that dusty road!!

    Thanks for your reply

Just a quick question can i put 1 pension into the other (transfer) as the other 1 has a small amount in it?

    Thanks again

  • I think you will have to ask of the receiving Pension Scheme if they will allow you to transfer the other one into it.

A quick answer is yes but make sure that you make the transfer to the best performing company.
