struggling to make minimum payments

Dear all,
Need your advice. Got three credit cards at the moment (2 x Santander + Bank Of Scotland). I'm nearing the limit on all three (between £3-3900) and finding it increasingly difficult to make minimum payments every month. My main problem is that I am not earning as much money as I did, my income is around £1000 per calendar month. My question is, can I contact Santander/ BOS and ask them for some help/relief, let's say I only pay £30 per month for the next 6 months? I'm quite desperate at the moment, I use credit cards to pay for my living costs, building up debt while paying astronomical interest.
Thank you in advance!

I would sit down and work out what you can afford and then call and explain. In these times I have found lenders to be a lot more considerate and I have made some arrangements myself. Its better to call now than miss a payment and especially if you offer a temporrary arrangement they will probably be wuite helpful I would imagine. Sorry I cant be more specific but I have no dealings with the bansk you mention. However Natwest, GE money , Next , council tax and the gas water and electric companies have all done deals with me. Feels so much better once its all under control. Good luck.0

You really do need to do a proper statement of Affairs.
You also need a new basic bank account into which your salary is paid with a bank who have no connection with the creditors.
Have you spoken to any debt charities? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
