  • I don't want to sound like a know-all because I am not and I am grateful for the feedback I have received as a newcomer to this forum but I am not in need of financial advice (not in this respect anyway) I just want the company to do what I am asking them.

I have decided that it will probably be best to change my provider to one who will deal with me directly.

Sounds sensible to me. Who's the current one?

    Are you in a SIPP?

Well the good news is that we have identified that the company being used for the drawdown only deals with Independent Financial Advisers and they are protecting their position, both now and in the future.

From your feedback it would appear that you need an execution only arrangement, one that allows you to tell the company what you want to do. Do be careful that you do not incur any exit penalties when you move the money in the drawdown.

All the best and send some sun over here please.

    Ah so.

Have you got a load of protected rights (contracted out of SERPS) money in the pension?
