AD in 1 month, can I get a car (and other questions)

Hi guys,

My automatic discharge happens next month and I was wondering whether I can buy a car and not have to tell my trustee?

It's my birthday in September and my parents have offered to buy me a car I can keep and restore, but there's no point if I have to inform the trustee of it.

I also got a Vanquis credit card invitation through the post, would it be worth signing up for that straight away to start rebuilding my credit?

And sorry about this, but I still have a NatWest current account that wasn't closed when I went br (they were informed), can I start using it again?

Thanks.

Wait till you are discharged and have cleaned up your credit files

If the OR has no interest in the account and Natwest allows you then I don't see why not, but I doubt they will.

    Thanks.

    Hope that helps

I did mean to say that I would be getting the car after discharge, if I do get it afterwards do I need to inform them?

Ah ok then that would be fine then :) Any assets you gain after discharge are yours. No need to tell OR.
