rebuilding credit rating afterwards

I was made bankrupt about 6/7 years ago.

about 6 months ago I got a vanquis card.

I wanna rebuild my credit rating and get a house.
my vanquis limit has been lifted once.

am I better sticking with one high interest credit card and wait till the limit ups or should i get a second one?

Thanks

first thing - have you cleaned up your credit files? There's a sticky at the top of the page with details.
  • I dont know how to view the sticky I cant see it on the page.
I am currently ordering my credit file but I cant get in and they are supposed to contact me back.

should I get one credit card or two / more?

The more available credit you have that your not using the better you credit score will be.

Doesnt matter if one or more cards. The key is showing you use your credit responcibly, not always upto the max.
  • this flys in the fact I was told on superscrimpers. Miss money penny said if you have loads of credit and dont use it i.e lots of cards and dont use one then you have a lower credit score.
I have one card I use every month responsibly and pay the balance of in full. I was thinking of getting a second one and doing the same paying off in full. would it be better to get a 2nd card and pay off in full or stick to one card?

Yeah, I would agree with you Superman. If you have available credit then it will lower your score.

I wouldmaybe use one card for something like petrol and another for groceries and pay both off every month.
