What Paperwork is needed?

Hi,
I am now filling in our forms for bankruptcy.
I am not sure what other paperwork is needed?
How many bank statements, proof of insurance policy (cars, house insurance) or is the direct debit on bank statements enough?

Hi
For the court you just need 3 copies of your BR petition, the money and the EX160A remissions form if you are exempt from court fees.
The OR will then contact you to let you know what to send them.
Usually they would like 12 months of bank statements, credit card statement and loan agreements.
Don't worry if you don't have them all as the OR can get these from the banks if required, it just helps them along and gets things started.BSC Member 3510 -
These may help too KimLyn, click on blue links below:

- You may find it helpful to look at the Example for completing a bankruptcy petition form 6.27 (DOC, 56 Kb) and the Guidance Notes (DOC, 73 Kb) for completing Form 6.28.

Got so many creditors I think I will start getting statements ready now.
How long before the OR contacts you?
Can creditors still harrass us until we see the OR?0 -
My OR appointment is one month after my BR so plenty of time to get things together.
If any creditors do contact you, tell them you have been made BR, give them the date and the reference number given you by the court and give them the name and address of the Insolvency Service you have been alloted and then they will communicate with them directly. Once you have given this information to your creditors there is no need for any further correspondance between you."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. Do they phone your employers? On the forms it asks for the employers name and contact details.0

No they don't contact your employers unless you are not co-operating for any reason. The HMRC however will need to contact them to issue a nil tax code, which you will then give to the OR's operative Moonbeever.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Hi again,
I went to the CAB today and they gave me some more information sheets to look at.
On one it says that even after going BR, bailiffs can still come in and remove goods, how can they do this?
Not that we have anything of any value, but the thought of a bailiff coming in and looking around the house scares me. I thought after BR this wasn't possible?
