Fed right up!!

Hi all
As you may be aware I have had a nightmare with the claiming of my PPI insurance due to the company i trusted to handle the claim going into administration... I am now looking for some advice so please bear with me as this is a long thread but you`ll see why!! In 2008 i took a loan out for 25,000 with natwest to consoliate debt. I defaulted last year and have since been passed to Triton credit management with a balance of 18,000 and a monthly payment agreed at £72. After my review in April the gentleman on the phone at Triton offered me a £10,000 and your debt will be cleared deal. At the time I had no money and declined gutted that I could have been debt free with that offer. I decided to reclaim my PPI against my debts and won £11,000. Terrific i thought i will call Triton explain the situation and clear my debt making an offer of £11,000 not to take the p&ss and finally case closed... The offer still stood at £10,000 and I waited patiently for my cheques to come. After 4 weeks and no cheques I phoned RBS to chase them to find that the £11,000 I won had been offset against my debt. Without any communication, letter or call, RBS have given the money to Triton who have deducted £11,000 off my loan...! I understand they have the right to use the money but surely this isnt fair? I phoned Triton and explained the situation to which I was told tough and unlucky fella thats life but if you have £4,000 we call it quits!! I enquired whether the assistant was having a laugh and taking the p£ss but no... Surely this is wrong? I want my debt cleared so would have used the money to clear the Triton account. I havent defaulted the triton agreement and regularly call them to keep them informed of my situation as i am desperate to get rid of this loan debt hanging on my records!! As a side issue, I dont recieve statements from them and have asked for them and a receipt each month of my payments and they have replied we can give you a balance over the phone but we cant send one out?
Does anyone think I have a case to go to the ombudsman? So frustrating as saw light at the end of the tunnel which now gone out!!

    Oh and i forgot to say a massive thank you to all that replied to previous posts as found it very helpful and an eye opener to what financial institutions can get away with/threaten you with!!
