Hi
Just wondering why some banks remove on line banking to bankrupts when this actually helps to keep account in order. DH bank barclays has stopped his online function leaving him to go overdrawn for 2 days when an unexpected and forgotten charge was applied. He used to check bank everyday on line so this wouldnt have happened if he was allowed to do that. I bank with nat west and they have allowed me to keep on line banking thank heavens
Just wondering if any one knew the reasons

I use online banking with Co-op cashminder, it's not kept that up to date unfortunately though. When I'm next in town I will pop in and sign up for their text balance servce which apparently is kept up to date. From the sounds of it, Co-op cashminder is the better choice for BR"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0

I use Natwest basic account (used to be called step account I think) and they have been brilliant. No probs with BR kept all functions as is a basic account and it has a debit card as well so bonus.
My husband Barclays account has been no end of bother and it was a basic one to start with and was opened about a year prior to BR and had no probs up untill recently when went BR0 -
If you give the coop a ring they can set it up straight away, no need to go in branch.
I can't use phones due to disability or I would.
Woody, I didn't know Natwest had a BR friendly attitude or account. One of my BR debts was with them though so doubt I could use it?!"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0
