Cheap wholefoods online?

Can anyone suggest reliable but cheap online whole foods retailers? At the moment I buy lots of dried fruit and nuts in the supermarket. However, I guess it should be cheaper to buy in bulk (1-5kg) quantities on the internet. I'd welcome suggestions.

I was having a nosey around this site the other night and found approaved foods online. They sell a lot of food past there use by date. They seem to sell a lot in bulk very cheap.I cant vouch for them as i havent used them, but im sure someone on here has.0

I wouldn't advocate buying nuts or dried fruit which are out of date, as I've bought nuts and fruit well within date in supermarkets and found the nuts rancid and the fruit stale. I would suggest looking for health shops locally or looking online. There are farms which sell cobnuts direct by mail for example.0

Thanks for the suggestion, savingannie, but I don't really want I'm not looking for out of date food. To be honest, I don't mind paying a bit more for a quality product - I just don't want to pay high-street prices if I can avoid it.0

Might be worth looking to see if there are any Food co-ops in your area:

Julian Graves is far cheaper than the supermarkets for dried fruit & nuts.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0

I buy mine from Goodness Direct, eg

And you can usually get a £10 off voucher - just google goodness direct voucher. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

I had just gone to get the link to goodness direct myself,
I use them too very reasonable especially if you can buy 3kg bags.
Excellent for spices as well.0 -
Another recommendatin for goodness direct
though if you have an asian community near by I get big bags of almonds, and cashews very reasonably

I'm really lucky here- my nearest town is tiny (only 2000 people) but we have an amazing independent healthfood shop, who bags up his own nuts, fruit etc and will order me large amounts of stuff eg 5 kgs of dates at a really good price- far cheaper than I see on the internet.
Otherwise, if you have not got an indepedent store (mind you, some are expensive), I know lots of people in cities who use asian supermarkets to stock up.DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0 -
I have used this company for several years.

They are really helpful and the wholesale discounts are good. If you can't make the minimum order the delivery cost is a percentage of the total otherwise it's free.
