Hi everyone , My husband started a new job a month ago with a leading bank and we really want to move but he has been told by the bank because he is on 6mths probation he can't get a mortgage, yet we have been with them now 20years without any problems (just a coincidence) Is there any other way we could obtain a mortgage until he's passed his probation? Is there any other way round this. Thanks for any advice shrewdal

Some lenders dont mind someone on probation consult an independent mortgage adviser or alternatively shout at his managerI like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)0

There are plenty of lenders that could look at this for you - provided you meet the other criteria of the lenders i.e. sufficient income etc
