PPI and debt management plans

Hi all, I have a question I hope someone can help me with.
In 2003 I took out a loan with Halifax which had ppi on it. In 2007 I defaulted on the loan.
At the beginning of 2008 I entered a DMP with payplan.
On checking my Payplan account earlier and looking at the balances it appears that the ppi is still on this loan.
Is this correct? or would the PPI have automatically been cancelled?
What would be the best course of action now to rectify this?
Thanks in advance for any help
Regards
Sara

I know from all my loans in my DMP that I was notified that any PPI would be cancelled, as i'd broken the contract and not paid the premiums.
I wouldn't have thought you could have PPI anymore as I take it your not paying your contractual payments.
I'd write to Halifax asking them what the position is. If your still paying PPI premiums then this needs cancelling and refunding, I would have thought, as you can't claim on the policy.
Write to them.

You need to reclaim your PPI - there is a whole forum on how to do this.
That will reduce your debt substantially. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
