I sent my original email to the MSE team on 9/6 and a follow-up on 25/6. Both remain unanswered.

Would a letter by post have more effect? Just wondering if they get so many so emails that some just get buried, but letters might get more attention?

I don't think it's a case of not getting attention, more being ignored.

My thread on here is about three years old, I have an archive of letters here when I have been in correspondence with numerous insurers, I have a hefty archived inbox purely for this matter.

It's clear I'm not getting anywhere, it's nice to hear I have some sympathisers but I'm not getting any help from anyone now. It's time to call this a day.

Thanks to everyone who has helped over the years, I am sorry I couldn't achieve my overall vision to resolve this.
  • I have just taken out new house (B&C) insurance. I was asked on the price comparison site. However when I went direct - I tried 3 different companies not one of them asked the question on the online form. And as far as I could see they did not ask in the T&C, only asked about criminal offenses. I tried Endsleigh, Sainsburys and Direct Line I think.
    On the way to ZERO!!
    Debt @ 1/6/2012: £30,200
    Mortgage @ 1/6/2012: £233,000
    Debt at £10,000 by 1/6/2013 £28,867/£30,200
    House Fund £2000 by 1/6/2013 £1000/£20,000
    Mortgage: Will tackle that next!
  • hey cs,

i for one intend to write to my nearest mp of the correct flavour, and ask why br should have any impact if criminal offences dont and also, why after 6 years once it falls off the OR register it is still allowed to be included or asked about when spent offences are not.

all failure needs is one good person not to act so this is me joining your fight, because its wrong pure and simple.
  • just written (email) to my local mp asking how this can be more important to insurers than convictions, now am on the path, going to keep kicking at the doors..............
