Token payments for July

Hi All,

I am starting a DMP with PayPlan, the first payment comes out on July 28th. I have been advised to make token payments to my creditors for the month up to that date.
How do I do this, do I telephone and pay or send a cheque?

This is all new to me and scary and I am sorry for being dense. I don't want to ring Payplan up again, as I have rang them every day this week.

I owe £39000 (ish) to 10 creditors:eek:

(I am not pregnant, my son is 5 and I have yet to figure out how to change the signature)

I also may have the opportunity to do some overtime so may be able to make overpayments, has anyone got experience of this?

I feel like I have at least made a start I guess, but I am dreading the lettters and calls I am going to get from creditors.:(

Lots of love to you all, its good to know you are not alone.

hi l would send them postal orders, as you will have record of sending to your creditors; also acknowledging that future payments will be made through Pay-plan..I would also remember that when you pay your dues to Pay-plan, it can take up to a week for it to be registered on their website, also it will go out on a certain day.. like this, paid on 11th, registered on website,as 14th, then pay to creditors on the by 25th of the month. I pay four weekly... do not worry about phoning them if you need advice then you need it, the online details is to google PayplanPlus, instead of justabank.. It got some good advice, and you can email your payplan agent, too..

I'm in a similar situation to you and am in the process of getting started on a DMP. I used online banking to send £5 payments to all the creditors. Most companies have their bank payment details either on the back of the statement, website, or paying in slip, and tell you which reference to use.

If you're getting some extra, non-regular cash, it's recommended that you put it into a savings account for now and build up a pot so you are in a position to accept settlement offers if/when they come up.

If you scroll up a bit then look at the green bar across the screen that says main site forum user cp .....

click on the one that says "quick links". One of the options is "edit signature". ;)

So saving up a pot of money is the best way?, I'll ask if I can start a saving account then.
