The Next Step

Hi All, Advice Please

My wife and I have had my AIP passed with the Nationwide last week and we are going in to see them to get everything finalised on Friday of this week. we were wondering what they will be looking at with my wife and I. Is it to ensure that all the information given to them on the AIP phonecall is all correct? Such as wages etc.

They have asked us to bring in ID, 3 months wage slips, bank statements etc.

Do I need to be worried about anything or am I being paranoid

    Paranoid for sure.

You told them how much you earn and they just want to verify this and ask a few additional questions.

Tell the entire truth and do not worry...

Is this the usual process with Nationwide. Do the initial application on the phone then come into the branch and finalise the mortgage. We have a property and so were wondering once the mortgage has been agreed proper how long the survey etc takes.

It is exactly the process, obviously they want a member of staff to certify your payslips, id etc. and not just take you word for it.

Nationwide are pretty good and so long as the advisor in branch is good and not going on holiday, all should be done quickly and efficiently.

Valuation can be instructed the day you see them, subject to you paying the valuation fee..

Yes Lucy has just been on holiday so nothing happening on that front for a long while. The valuation fee is all part of the package that they have offered us as we have been saving on a save to buy scheme and have transfered over our joint account to them too. Really impressed with them they have been great.

Many Thanks for all the help.
