Natwest Card Default Notice

Hi i am after some advice on my old Natwest credit card. I did enter an agreement with Natwest where they suspended all interest but i did pay off the balance. They have entered this as a default on my credit agreement with a sub note of satisfied which is different to my other cards which i have done the same and paid off such as Barclays (Morgan Stanley) who have NOT entered this as a default but just as settled? So my question is can i get this default removed at anytime? If not how long is it on your record for? This was setteled in July 2010, and is this the reason i am not being given a loan from the bank?
My total debt was £59,366 back in Dec 2006 this is when I took the bull by the horns and rang every creditor. I decided to do this off my own back and not enter a CVA. I am now down to a debt of £2644 and this will be clear in 2014.
