I am thinking of buying a new sofa. Does anyone know which one is easier to clean leather or chenille?
Chennile is £100 cheaper for the same model but I don't know why.

Leather. Taxi drivers always specify leather upholstery. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

Im not convinced. I have dogs and one was sick on my leather sofa and it is still badly stained. My old chenille one would have cleaned up without a mark in sightI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I swapped chenille for leather last year and have found it lots easier to keep looking nice. I have 2 toddlers that create muck everywhere and it still looks new. I bought some "whizz" leather spray from a stall in our local market, cost 99p and it feeds and cleans.Bossymoo

Leather, most definitely. Mine seems to be scratch resistant too. Baby-wipes are the best thing to clean it with.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0

Leather 100%. Baby wipes are great for everyday cleaning, but using a flannel with some hot soapy water with a drop of olive oil mixed in makes leather sofas look new and helps to condition them too0
