just following martin's pre-MOT checks,you know-bulbs/tyres/fluids etc.
all are ok ,but i saw that the "power-steering fliud" level is just reaching the minimum line. is this something i can buy and top up,like i do with oil and coolant etc?or better left to a garage?
thanks in advance,thanks for reading.

You need the appropriate fluid for your system
refer to handbook or dealer
do not let mot garage top it up if they do not have data for your car not all vehicles take a straight dexron
does it have a leak? thats a fail, not an old ka by any chance0 -
thanks for that info.
its a 5 year old fiesta.the fluid isn't below the minimum line, just reaching towards it.will keep my eye on it for now.

Surely if you have no power steering fluid you just lose power steering and it just becomes heavy... or am I wrong here? =/0

If it's close to the line, I'd give Ford a call and get the genuine stuff and give it a top up. It may not need it now, but lower the risk of any steering issues - it's not something you'll have to do often.0
