saying that my 3 yr old has a video of the woodentops so he knows who they are, so you might just get away with it.

Even worse - I can remember Muffin the Mule and Prudence Kitten. That was in the days when tv closed down for an hour after the children's programme!!!

If you have one of those "ring pans" it is worth baking the Christmas cake in it instead of a normal cake tin. This produces a large "doughnut" shaped cake. It looks really large but actually there is much less cake in it. Also its easier to cut portions off.
