Hi
Im getting married next year and we are doing a beach theme as we live on the north cornish coast.
We are on a such a tight budget which doesnt help with a wedding lol.
Im looking for ideas on homemade favours, decorations the lot.
I like to think im an arty person but to be fair it needs to be pretty simple for me to get the desired effect lol.
any ideas are welcome, links to cheap wedding items or even how you did it on a tight budget.
I dont have the cheap 5k budget, ive got even less than that to play with lol x

What on earth where you doing for past one year huhh ? i think you should have earned enough money to Enjoy your wedding right ?0

For the past year ive been raising 3 children which is where my money goes and ill be doing that for the next god knows how many years to come.
Plus I dont need to spend thousands to have an amazing wedding.
I would rather spend the money my husband earns on our 3 children.
Ive kept my budget tight for a reason and all im asking for is ideas not for a donation.Hey, I found your nose.....

You certainly don't need to justify your reasons for wanting/needing a low budget wedding. I will get my head into beach wedding gear and see what I can come up with. I am sure there are lots of money savers with excellent ideas. Have fun planning your day .Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

I've never been to the cornish coast to know what type of beaches they have but have you thought about collecting shells for table decorations and also collecting drift wood as maybe table centres?
Other things that come to mind would be things with sand, gold fish bowls filled with sand with candles in, little bottles of sand (could be coloured?) for favours.
Also when i think beach i think Ice Cream... fish and chips! Maybe having fish and chip supper isntead of a sit down meal could save you money or maybe having an ice cream van for dessert instead, it could work out cheaper.Comping twitter @mrsegg10 -

Also thanks Mrs_egg i never thought about fish and chips thats a brilliant idea
My friend today offered to make my flowers bless her so thats one less thing to worry about. xxHey, I found your nose.....

Could you do sticks of rock for favours? Not fancy specially printed ones, just bog standard 5 for £1 type ones? They'd look great on the tables.
My friend had a Hawiian theme wedding and painted pebbles for place names which were great- we've still got ours.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Great ideas Mrs Egg, and a fish and chip shop should both give a good discount and deliver for a large order like that.
You could put the shells on cake stands as a table centre - beach theme goes with retro so you could borrow them from people and no need to match.
I love the painted pebble idea above too, if you had time to do that or knew someone who could do it for you - this site gives some ideas:

Oh you guys are brilliant and all the ideas are so easy

I looked at pebble painting and really liked that idea, thats something i know i will end up doing.
Stick of rock is great too as it will bring some colour in rather than just blues.

Ive also just found a mixture that will make sand dough. so we can make mini sand castles. My kids are really looking forward to helping make everything.
Im doing a home made sweet cart as my husband has a massive sweet tooth. Im filling glass jars, glass bowls, drinking glasses, anything i can get my hands on glass wise with sweeties. Then painting starfish on them to fit the theme.
I cant wait to start it all properly
Just got to finalise the venue bookings and then i know where we stand.
Keep the ideas coming though im loving them so much i might just make some to decorate my house too as hubby to be is a surfer so beach fits our house well xHey, I found your nose.....
