Past Due Credit Solutions

Hi
A few weeks ago I randomly got a letter from Past Due Credit Solutions, asking me to contact them urgently regarding an outstanding debt of almost £500 to Scottish Power, on a property I moved out of more than 4 years ago. I am certain that all bills were up to date when I moved out, and, as I just moved a couple of streets away the owner dropped off any mail I received for a good 6 months after I moved.
Anyway, I researched the company on this website, so replied stating that I did not acknowledge the debt, and requested proof that I owe this money. They wrote back saying they would not do this until I confirmed that I lived at the property, and gave the dates I moved in and out. Wary of giving this personal information, I replied saying I wouldn't do that until my original request was met. They sent the same letter again. That arrived the day before I went on holiday, and a few days after I cam back I got another letter from them, saying that as I hadn't taken action they had recommend that Scottish Power take legal action.
Bit stuck now with what to do. Do I write back to them and give them the details they want (dates) or do I write again requesting they provide proof of the debt. For the last couple of years I've worked hard to build up my credit score, so dont want this to ruin that.
Thanks for any help

If you can pay it, don't do so. Your questions are reasonable and if you asked them as part of any court action, you could expect them to be answered. Let it go to court, where PDCS and SP will need to provide the evidence.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
