Dotty Clothes

I've noticed teeny tiny brown dots appearing on my white clothes after they have been washed in the machine. Has anyone else had that happen? Does some part of my machine need a clean?
Thanks

Clould it be rust.
Could it be put on there when you are pulling them out of the machine, check the folds round the rubber door seal.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I've found this site to be quite helpful in the past:

hi, Poppy
this happened to me years ago, when I substantially reduced the amount of washing powder I used per load. I looked it up somewhere (can't remember where now) and the recommendation was to increase the amount of washing powder. I did that (generally use a largeish tablespoon per load), and haven't had the problem since.

Thanks for your help. I did have a look at a few googled pages on this and one of the most common causes was low temp. I was washing at 30 degrees. I upped it to 50 and no more dotty clothes. So much for saving the planet:mad:Flowers are sunshine for the soul0
