Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque is amazing, I think you'll find it in any drugstore or supermarket.
Tarte blushers, lovely pigmentation and hard to find here.
Make Up For Ever foundation.0 -
I know you said American products. However, I find that Clinique is very good value there - cheaper than Number 7.
The offers are also very good value - usually on one purchase you get the usual little bag with lipstick, an eyeshadow palette etc. In Uk it's usually two purchase, one has to be expensive skin care.
I had a goodie bag from both Lancome and Clinique when I was there in April.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

Thanks for the quick replies! I am googling them now!
Didnt realise Clinique would be cheaper there!
I have heard that the Make Up Forever brand is good. Has anyone else tried it?
What are Tarte Blushers? Is that the brand name or a type of product? Thanks0 -

American brands eh? Where do I start :happyhear
Head to the nearest Sephora and shop till you drop. They pretty much have everything. I've heard good things about their Sephora brand eyeshadow palettes which offer super value, check them out here.
Have a look on the Sephora site and if you see anything you like, make a short list, will make your life so much easier
I'm a big fan of Tarte, especially their cheek stains (I have 3) - great staying power and last aages.
I also like Arcona, Josie Maran, Boscia, Lavanila & Hourglass (Space NK sells this but it's a lot more expensive). As for drugstore brands, apparently Covergirl & NYX are good but I've not tried these.
Enjoy your trip!

I second (or is it third?!) the Tarte recommendation.
You can get Make Up For Ever in Europe as well (in most major department stores), but it may be cheaper in the States.
Sonia Kashuk is another brand you should look out for. You can get it in the UK, but it's usually priced up as a luxury brand at outlets like Space NK, whereas in America it's sold at rock-bottom prices, usually in Target stores. Your best bet is to go onto the Target website and find branches that are closest to where you're going.
Enjoy your trip

Bath and Body works is great for toiletries. My friend dragged a ton of their stuff back in her suitcase!
It's worth checking out the gift with purchase offers in department stores. I was there a few years ago and noticed you didn't have to spend as much to qualify. I got a lovely Lancome gift set that was packed full of stuff and I only had to spend $20 to get it. Over here they always say you have to buy two things, one to include skincare, which is way more than $20!
A lot of people go mad for those EOS lip balms.0 -
I'm going in October with an empty suitcase :-)
Things I love:
Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadow palettes (all less than $5 from Target)
ELF Studio brushes all $3 or less from Walmart
Cerave PM Moisturiser 50ml (about $8 from chemists)
Urban Decay (especially if you can order online if you're actually staying with someone - their sales are amazing although unfortunately, they're no longer cruelty free)
MAC, Chanel, Estee Lauder and pretty much every high end brand is a fair bit cheaper.
Indie stores if you can get online to order - Fyrinnae in particular, fabby pigments.
If you're going to Canada, you can still get the old version of Preparation H cream containing biodyne if you wanted to give that a go to see if it really is magic on wrinkles.
Tarte blushes
NYX
China Glaze, OPI nail polishes from Sallys
Inglot cheaper than here
Neosporin - magic antibiotic healing cream from any drugstore
Neutrogena healthy skin foundation which is supposed to be lovely
MUAC (Make Up Artists Choice online for DIY skin peels if you fancy giving that a go - be careful!)
Lots of extra colours in Revlon Lip Butters
Look out for drugstore coupons to bring a lot of drugstore makeup like L'Oreal, Revlon, Maybelline, etc, down to just a few dollars each.
Lorac luminizers (Sephora)
Becca (Sephora)
MUD (Make Up Designory - don't know if these are online only though) - brilliant foundations
Brilliant quality maple syrup - not makeup but absolutely yum! We bought a huge tub back last year and have only just run out. A1 steak sauce too

Omg you've read my mind. I'd add pixie epoxy to the list if you can find it. I'm off in August and have Layla varnishes top of my list... I just need a suitcase bug enough now!If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0
