Feeling really good today
We have cancelled our unlimited cinema access card and so saving £32 a month there. The money is coming in slowly for the CC but we are getting there.
So plan of things to do today
- [STRIKE]Post parcel from eBay sale, may need to walk to town to get envelope![/STRIKE]
- Design and finalise Nursery art for an order (DESIGNED!)
- List 5 things on eBay
- Do some uni work (did some yesterday so not essential!)
[STRIKE]- Go through bank account and see if we have any extra for PAD
- Cook chicken to take to the grandparents tonight[/STRIKE]
Think thats about it for today. I'm hoping that over the weekend we can finally sort out the living room, get it all moved around and get the travel cot put up, then sort our bedroom and move the moses basket in!
Finally finished my hospital bag so thats one thing not to worry about if I go into labour and have to get OH to rush and pick it up!
Just worked out in the last 3 weeks we have managed to pay nearly 1% off our debt. We are hoping to be paying around 2-3% a month whilst i'm on maternity leave and then hoping to pay more like 5% a month when i'm back in work! We can hope cant we!!
Desperate for a holiday abroad next year so I might have to make another savings jar soon!DFW - Feb 2016 £19k

Congratulations on your soon to be born baby
You are doing really well considering your so close to giving birth, not sure I could be bothered listing things on ebay etc would be taking full advantage of lazing around hehe
Just one thought, are your mortgage company happy with the £23 a month payment towards arrears? I don't have a mortgage, so not overly sure what I'm talking about.. But think I read on here before that mortgages and council tax should be prioritised over other debt.
xxMarch 2013 LBM so here goes....PAID OFF £6944! Unfortunately have built it all back up again! Amounts to be added up soon! Scare myself into action! 30/05/2018 LBM 20 -

Thanks hun
Mortgage company were originally going to capitalise the mortgage arrears and have now decided they arent going to do it!! They haven't even been to value the house and even though we have paid £20k off the house already they think we are in neg equity. Very annoying! They aren't currently charging interest on the arrears and are happy to take the £23 for the next couple of months and then will call us to make other arrangements so i'm just trying to get rid of the bits with interest for the now and then i'll be aiming to get rid of the arrears ASAP.
Its hard but because OH was out of work for 5 months it really screwed us upxx

Sounds like a good plan.
At least once the baby is here you can get into a routine and find free things to do to amuse you both
Are there any summer fetes or craft fairs in your area? You could always try selling your jewellery at them. I've bought quite a few nice pieces at local craft stalls.

Found it really difficult yesterday to do anything at all. Baby was right up under my ribs and couldnt get comfy in any position at all!
I did a few bits on my list and also a few bits that I could do standing up! Started the nursery item but was in too much pain sat down! I feel today is going to be pretty much a muchness because I can feel her right in my rib again so its either laying down or standing up today!
Today I have already had the virgin man here to change over my box, sold and packaged a game up to send to one of these cash in websites and now to decide what will be most productive!
Plan:
[STRIKE]
- Walk to town to buy one of those trainer bags to put in the washing machine[/STRIKE]
- List some dresses on eBay (will do this now!)
[STRIKE]- Walk and post parcel
- Cash in scratch card (£5) ready to pay into bank and against CC
- Do my nectar adpoints
- Check out survey sites[/STRIKE]DFW - Feb 2016 £19k

Morning Hun....Sorry to hear that baby girl is driving you mad....but she'll be here soon so she can drive you mad in a different way
Try and take it as easy as you can....but the List you have for today looks good....nothing too strenuous there....Just take care of you and baby girl...x0 -
Well I walked into town and seriously thought I was going to die on the way home! In fact I stood at some traffic lights waiting for the green man for about 10 mins leaning on the button and didn't realise it changing to green!
Couldnt find a trainer bag though and went all over!
Transfered the £5 to the savings and some extra change that was in the account. I have £21.50 pending to go into the account and after calling halifax the balance is £130.30 so I just need about £10 to clear it!
I have also done some balance transfers today which are going to save me approx £40 a month.... balance fee was £88 so It will make me a lot better in the long run.
Ermmm what else I have done today.... made a slimming world tuna pasta bake to take with me tomorrow to the cricket match so I dont spend any money!
Havent listed the dresses yet because I think they will sell better if I have them to finish on a Saturday/Sunday so on Sunday I will blitz eBay.DFW - Feb 2016 £19k

Haha so this weekend didn't go to plan at all!!
Ended up spending on Sunday and Monday.... I have paid £61.50 off the CC and so have to find £68.80. I still have a pending payment of £10 to come which will go straight to it and I also have £50 in the "emergency fund" which I should pay off the CC but i think we will need to go food shopping and so have kept this aside just in case. I am going to go through the freezer tomorrow and see what meals we can make and see how little I need to spend to make 2 weeks worth of meals. I have a £6 off a £40 shop at Mr T's so thats quite good!
Ooo and paid £50 off furniture bill and a further £11.50 off the CC so i'm off to update my sig! Hoping that this time next week all balance transfers will have gone through and the sig will be 100% correct!DFW - Feb 2016 £19k

Bubs is really playing me up. Chronic back ache for the last 36 hours, peeing like a race horse, emotional wreck and so fidgetty!!
Now i'm at 37 weeks i've started back on slimming world properly and i'm hoping that part of the 3st 9lb I have gained whilst preg I can get rid of in the next couple of weeks.
On the money front, OH is getting some overtime this month which is good because when he has his paternity week it is going to knock us back by about £200 so I will save the overtime money and put it towards the lower week. Also, he is getting a promotion at work yipppeeeeeee!!! His boss says his minimum pay rise is £3k which is around £160 a month after tax and he may get it back dated to March too which would be amazing!! Looks like we may be able to get on track and have a fun summer after all
Got a few bits to list tomorrow whilst its free listing and hoping to finally move around the living room and our bedroom so I can get the travel cot put up in the living room and bring the moses basket through to our room from babies room.
Really praying she is here soon!DFW - Feb 2016 £19k
