Credit rebuild post br - dormant bank account

Hi people
I was discharged from br a couple months ago and am now in the process of rebuilding. On my equifax report I have a Barclays Basic bank account which has been dormant since feb 2008 (I never did anything with it). I use the Co Op for my post br accounting, but I was considering writing to Barclays to see if I could use this account just to try and build up some savings in it.
I wonder if anyone knows firstly if this is legal, secondly what their response is likely to be. Otherwise, should I get it removed from my file? Thanks guys

I'm curious to know the answer to this too! I have a dormant credit card that I got out a couple of years pre bankruptcy with nothing on it!0

All accounts would be under the OR and in your BR. Your best bet would be to ask the OR if they don't mind if you use the account and if they say fine then check with the bank.
You will probably be fine with Barclays but most likely not with the credit card, though it is always worth trying.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Thanku for that - ill give the OR a quick ring in the morning :0)0
