Hi, my O/R was great, he included things in my soa, that I hadnt thought of, clothing, holidays, gas and electricity is 120 p/m allowance, I have sky tv and a mobile phone, he said he wasnt interested in them, they dont want you to live like paupers, but not an overly lavish life style either, good luck x0

Does anyone know what happens in terms of pensions?
I started work with my new employer 3 months ago and I want to swop my pension over to them (aviva) they will take £39.98 every month but I can pay in more if I want. It will be deducted before I am paid meaning my salary will show £1570 minus the £39.98 or more if I chose. any words of advice?IVA started August 2017. 53 months to go :mad:0 -

Why have you not put any contribution down for your partner?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

He has only just got a job so he doesn't have an income as of yet. It is unclear as to whether or not he will be contributing as everything is up in the air in terms of housing arrangements.
He doesn't want any part of the bankruptcy and I don't blame him as it's all mine and my ex husbands debts. I don't want any of his income or property involved. If it means him moving out whilst I sort it then he will and that's why it is a little up in the air at the moment

He doesn't need to get involved in the BR but it is completely normal for people to pay for their own living costs rent/bills/food etc."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0

On the figures you quote you will get an IPA, that will last for 3 years.
So by your reasoning your partner will move out for this length of time.
As Pippa says, if you do declare him but not his income , he will be expected to contribute 50% of the outgoings. This will mean that you will have extra to pay into the IPA.
So it is up to you, pay a higher IPA or live apart for three years.0 -
He is only working part time though so he wouldn't have enough to contribute to make it 50% of the outgoings.

It's really frustrating that he is being dragged into something that has no concern to the bankruptcy

As with anyone if he is not able to afford to share the costs of living with you, he will need to live somewhere that he can afford. That would be the case even without BR. Maybe he could find a full time job so that he could afford to live with you at some stage."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." OK so he is earning money. If he is living with you as you indicate on your SoA then he needs to be using some of that money to pay for joint household outgoings. That doesn't need to be 50% but in relation to his earnings.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
