how much is scrap metal worth?

we have a load of metal shelving from when we had a shop but its just stored in the garage at the moment and we wondered if it was worth much .

Probably get more selling it as shelves try ebay (collect locally)0

Not the petrol involved in taking it.
Only non ferrous metals are worth scrapping such as copper, aluminium and stainless steal.

my son is going to put it on ebay , we are going to take a picture of some put together see how it goes .

I scrapped a few things recently. I got £26 in total. I had some aluminium and some steel.
I got £170 per ton for the steel and £700 per ton for the aluminium.
Well worth the trip to the scrap yard I thought.0
