I wholeheatedly agree. I would not use any information from a message forum!

I'm a uni student and have no problem with research, referencing, citations, etc.

I have not asked for any information or opinions or suchlike.

    Sorry for the confusion mate!

Heres a good tip, get them to ask you some questions at the end of it - and structure your talk specifically around a few points so that they ask you a question around that area. And of course, you will have the answers..

Pretty easy subject actually, Tesco's failures over the last year or so have been immense. I know this because I work for one of the big 4 supermarkets.

Check this retail blog that my mate runs, plenty of info in there for you. Hope it helps.

Unless the job itself requires presenting skills
Whether or not the job requires presenting skills, I'd take note of what's been said before about length: they ask for 5 minutes, you give them 4 with the 5th for questions. You remember the deaf old lady at the bag - in other words you speak clearly and include the whole room (which can be tricky if you're speaking to a powerpoint presentation and 'the room' is behind you). And you practice beforehand, preferably to someone who'll give you some feedback.

Find a wide range of sources, do not use wikipedia, and make sure you meantion Terry Leahy because he was the one who took Tesco from a normal supermarket to the giant is it today, and since he retired it's all gone horribly wrong. He has a biography out I think, worth checking that out too. And put your sources clearly at the end if you are doing a power point presentation.
